The devil is in the (small) details! Yesterday I’ve been working tirelessly to finish this 15th century trucated hennin as seen on the Portrait of a Young Girl by Petrus Christus. I did change to silver silk and mirrored beads because the local shop where I buy my beads didn’t have enough gold ones! Silver is more my color anyway... Hennins can often be seen with elaborate beadwork, metal threads and silk embelishments. I thought it was only fitting to make one to match my houpelande. Next up is a plaquet in the same silver silk.
